Civil Society organisation Accountability Now says it would have been valuable for the country if the State Capture Report corrected the error made in the initial report on the status of the joint judgment of former Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke and former ConCourt Judge Edwin Cameroon regarding the Glenister case. The case relates to the disbanding of the Directorate of Special Operations (DSO), a specialized crime-fighting unit that was located within the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). The unit was dissolved and replaced by the Directorate of Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI), which is located within the South African Police Service (SAPS). The ConCourt ruled that the State has an obligation to establish an independent anti-corruption body. Accountability Now Director Advocate Paul Hoffman shares more.
